About Us

Katharina and Sophie are not only sisters but best friends. They are the founders of Life Well Worn. Katharina and Sophie believe that all animals, big and small, need love and support. They feel passionate about advocating for animals, as they don’t have a voice of their own.

Born in Berlin, they moved to Namibia at a very young age where they were exposed to an unprecedented amount of wildlife. They were fortunate enough to spend weekends on various farms. Their love and passion for animals led to a wide variety of pets over the years, including dogs, cats, tortoises, rats, guinea pigs, and, of course, bunnies. They started riding horses in Africa, and up to this day, horses hold a very special place in their hearts. At ages 9 and 8, respectively, they moved back to Berlin.

Katharina and Sophie, who have now lived in Minnesota for the past 25 years, sell t-shirts in honor of their current pets, Holland Lop bunnies, and every animal big and small. 10% of all profits will go to the House Rabbit Society.

The artwork design on the t-shirts is from Sophie’s talented 12-year-old daughter, Salena, who is also an animal lover and fellow horseback rider.

Hi, my name is Salena, and I am Life Well Worn’s shirt designer. Art is my passion, and when I was given the opportunity to use my art to give back to the animals that inspire it, I quickly took it. I personally own a holland lop rabbit, and she means the world to me. Helping animals through my art is just one of the many ways I can give back to these wonderful creatures who have always been there for me.
